Welcome to Adobe de los Amigos

Adobe de los Amigos

We, Patricia, Dax, Walter and Roxy and our wine fairy welcome you into our home and we hope that your feel just as comfortable and relaxed here as we do.  Some say “It feels just like our own private Okanagan resort”. For us it is!

Enjoy the yard with the waterfall, pond and hot tub while soaking up the spectacular view.  A hot tub under the stars with a campfire burning in the background and a glass of Okanagan wine just can’t be beat.  There is a small grassy yard and flower gardens with fresh herbs growing in them.  Decks and patios offer comfortable seating outside.

There is an outdoor sink beside the big red Barbeque where you can cook up that juicy steak to go along with your wine.

A couple of hammocks can usually be found to swing in the breeze.

There is an outdoor fire pit to make those yummy Smores or just watch the mesmerizing flames as the moon rises over Okanagan Lake.

We have been into sustainability and green living since before time.  My parents were green when green only meant money.  Our home is built with Insulated Concrete Forms with a passive solar design.  Zeriscaping keeps our water usage to a minimum.  Only natural, non scented cleaning agents are used and we use the fresh, dry Okanagan air to give that outdoor scent to the sheets and linens.  We keep our home and the products in it as natural as we can and except for dogs are hypoallergenic.  We buy  local, practice the hundred mile diet and  conserve what we can.

The wine fairy!

Text Box: But the place which you have selected for your camp, though never so rough and grim begins at once to have its attractions and become the very centre of civilization to you. Home is home, be it ever so homely.
